Are you passionate about history and the city of Brandon? The Brandon General Museum and Archives is now hiring a Tour Guide for a 9-week basis starting in June to assist the Museum Administrator and BGMA Volunteers.
The successful candidate should have experience with independent research, scholarly writing, public speaking, and social media posts.
Some duties and responsibilities may include: greeting patrons and giving tours, assisting with the setup and install of displays and exhibits, detailed research with reliable sources that have been cross-referenced for articles or interpretive texts, cleaning the museum space.
Knowledge of museum etiquette and artifact conservation is an asset, but not a requirement.
