Behind Brandon’s Green Door: Bottling History of the City

It is finally here! Behind Brandon’s Green Door: Bottling History of the City!

Did you know that Brandon has not seen a brewery since 1931? Coca Cola was also bottled in one of our local breweries before they built their own plant for production! Or did you know that men and women could not drink in the same beverage room together until 1957?

This new exhibit explores Brandon’s past breweries and bottling companies and everything that they influenced here in the Wheat City. Breweries, their owners, hotel beverage rooms, and also how the liquor laws and prohibition effected them are all on display here at the Brandon General Museum & Archives. This exhibit will be up until Spring 2020! Don’t miss it!
