At the start of the new year, we brought something from Brandon’s past to the museum.
Just added to our early Brandon infrastructure display is this streetcar bumper, donated by city councillor, and board member, Shaun Cameron.
The downtown streetcar system ran from 1913 to 1932 after being suspended for two months due to lack of funds. It was replaced by a bus transit system owned by the MacArthur Transportation Company Limited until 1955.
Come see this and more at the BBGMA (the extra B stands for bumpin’). Tours and visits are Tuesdays to Saturdays, 12pm to 4pm!
