Are you passionate about history and the city of Brandon? The Brandon General Museum and Archives is now hiring an Assistant Museum Administrator for a 9-week basis starting mid to late June to assist the Museum Administrator and BGMA Volunteers.
The successful candidate should have experience with managerial roles, independent research, scholarly writing, public speaking, and social media posts.
Some duties and responsibilities may include: training and guiding volunteers, answering emails and other administrative duties, greeting patrons and giving tours, assisting with the setup and install of displays and exhibits, detailed research with reliable sources that have been cross-referenced for articles or interpretive texts, cleaning the museum space
Knowledge of museum etiquette and artifact conservation is an asset, but not a requirement.

Pay is $17.50 per hour for 30 hours a week, deadline to apply is June 1.
